"ACCIDENTAL SHAPES"
Fratelli Rossetti and Marcin Kempski together again for the Spring-Summer 2025 campaign
Milan, January 2025 – Fratelli Rossetti announces the launch of the new Accidental Shapes campaign, once again created by the renowned Polish photographer, director, and painter Marcin Kempski, famous for his humorous and allegorical style described as “magical realism”.
In Accidental Shapes, the craftsmanship and timeless elegance of Fratelli Rossetti footwear blend with a dreamlike aesthetic where the line between object and subject dissolves. The campaign images depict a world where fashion intertwines with fantasy: human figures interact with stylized shapes, playing with proportions and abstract geometries. Oversized hearts, imaginary creatures, and graphic symbols become part of a visual narrative that echoes the sophisticated design of the collection.
The new campaign pays tribute to the brand's icons, such as the renowned Brera loafer, showcased here in its artisanal details, including the “lettuce leaf trim” stitching and “Tech” weaving. The quintessential men's lace-up shoe, La Giusta, and the Hobo slipper are also featured. The goal is to highlight the details and quality of the footwear, creating a surprising and ironic visual effect.
The concept is the result of a collaborative effort between the creative agency Motel 409 and artistic consultant Sergio Colantuoni, who together uphold the brand's values and image with a special focus on timeless aesthetics.
Marcin Kempski has worked with the biggest names in fashion and luxury, such as Dior, Louis Vuitton, Valentino, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Vogue Italia. His inspiration comes from surrealist paintings and films, creating photographs that use lighting and scenography to imagine a dreamlike world. Here, the photographer finds beauty in the bizarre, transporting us into a humorous and allegorical alternative reality.
