A showcase for the newest talents in the handmade world: the third appointment is with Wood’d and its craft-made wooden smartphone covers
Milan, 17 May 2016 – After the success of the previous events, Fratelli Rossetti presents the latest instalment of the New Artisan project, which allows emerging talents to use the boutique on Via Montenapoleone in Milan as a venue and shines a spotlight on their creations. One event each month until the end of the year. After the March appointment with Atypical skateboards and the one with Servomuto lampshades during the last Milan Furniture Fair, in May Fratelli Rossetti will present Wood’d, a lifestyle brand founded by the brothers Andrea and Stefano Aschieri in 2012. They pour all of their creativity and dedication into making smartphone covers out of wood. The blend of tradition and innovation is a core feature of its products, which are all strictly handmade!
On Tuesday, May 17th 2016, the young artisans will reveal a few production phases through a live show taking place at Fratelli Rossetti boutique on via Montenapoleone, from 6PM.
Fratelli Rossetti aims to serve as a patron of new professional spheres by providing a platform for alternative forms of expression and the production of unique items in dedicated installations. The idea is the one of telling the stories of creative figures who are building careers on their artistic capabilities by handcrafting items that are usually industrially produced, such as skateboards, lampshades, smartphone covers and aluminium guitars...
“New Artisan is a project for professional creative talents who have rediscovered the value of handmade products and given a contemporary twist to them,” explained Luca Rossetti, the CEO of the company. “Through these emerging players, we want to promote our long-established values of craftsmanship, research and Italian-based production.”
Continuing an alliance built on exceptional Italian-made quality that began at Expo 2015, Fratelli Rossetti’s partner for the event is the Franciacorta Association. In keeping with the outlook of the initiative, Franciacorta will present wineries run by astute young entrepreneurs who have chosen a career in the wine world.
On this occasion, Franciacorta wines by Bosio will accompany the evening event.
