Fratelli Rossetti presents the Magenta Codes: Four different codes to tell the transformation of an Icon
From a must have of the mannish universe to the expression of a new femininity
After celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Brera loafer, Fratelli Rossetti gives tribute to another icon, the Magenta. Being one of the most representative models of the brand, it is named after the Milanese district, site of the historical boutique of Fratelli Rossetti, and is distinguished by its famous stirrup.
Born in 1975 as a men’s and women’s ankle boot, in its feminine version it quickly became emblem of the mannish style.
Today, the Magenta stirrup, the tangible symbol of this family, is mutated through four new identities: the elements inspired by menswear acquire new forms, becoming expression of a strong and confident femininity.
The stirrup, sharp lines, and characteristic textures of men’s designs, are transferred on pumps and mules, reinventing the paradigms of womenswear.
