Fratelli Rossetti, gives an original touch toScotland’s traditional patterns:from fabrics to shoes
Tartan and Argyle patterns are the new statement for winter 2019/2020
Fratelli Rossetti borrows the patterns of men’s traditional Scottish fabrics transferring them in the leather of the shoes while portraying a genuine, ironic and original touch. The Fall Winter 2019/2020 collection points the spotlight towards the Tartan and Argyle motives, proposed in formal shoes and in urban models. The Tartan models utilize the “Toledo Exclusive” technique, where the artisans manually color the natural leather and hand draw the pattern following lines which were traced in the upper. The acclaimed Scottish motif is presented on the Brera loafer in its iconic and sporty variants. The Argyle theme is processed by sewing the rhombic pattern in the upper which was previously colored by hand and subsequently decolorized. The graphic is proposed in formal lace-ups and sneaker models. Also in line with the Scottish theme, the collection includes the fringed models: this embellishing element, which reminds of the kilt, is presented on an elegant loafer with a band and on two monobuckled designs, one classic and the other with a sportier spin. Another pattern inspired from menswear clothing is the pied-de-poule embroidery which is presented as Brera loafers. This made in Italy technique requires a high level of expertise from Fratelli Rossetti’s master artisans.
