Milan - Fratelli Rossetti presents the latest instalment of the New Artisan project. On 22 September 2016 Fratelli Rossetti will be hosting the headwear fashion house Altalen. The company’s handmade hats, turbans, headscarves and visors will all be on display at Milano Moda Donna at the Fratelli Rossetti boutique in via Montenapoleone from 6.30 p.m. onwards.

Altalen is a company that designs and makes hats by hand using sophisticated artisan techniques and is well known for its experimental approach to design. In charge of the creative side of the business are Antonina Nafì De Luca and Elena Todros, two women who are united in their passion for headgear. Every Altalen creation is a unique, quality piece made by hand using the finest fabrics and materials. Original, elegant accessories that speak volumes about the personality and individuality of the wearer.

Hat therapy will be the theme of the evening, a highly participatory occasion during which guests will be invited to try on different hats and shoes at a specially set up photo booth, to find the combination that best suits their personal style!

New Artisan is an initiative launched by Fratelli Rossetti that focuses on the Made in Italy artisan tradition and allows emerging Italian talent the use of the company’s via Montenapoleone boutique in Milan to tell their stories. Every month, these young, highly creative entrepreneurs, who make objects traditionally produced using industrial methods by hand, are invited to showcase their original work: skateboards, lampshades, hats, wooden smartphone covers – all strictly produced in accordance with the handmade ethos!
The New Artisan project will be launched in other Fratelli Rossetti boutiques around the world next year.

For this event, Fratelli Rossetti has teamed up with Consorzio Franciacorta who, in line with the philosophy behind the project, will be presenting wineries run by young entrepreneurs who have careers in the wine industry. Franciacorta wine from the Castelveder and Santa Lucia wineries will be on offer to accompany the evening’s proceedings.

Fratelli Rossetti was set up in 1953 in Parabiago, a town just outside Milan, thanks to the visionary genius of a man named Renzo Rossetti, at a point in Italy’s history when the country was taking its first steps into the world of fashion as a serious commercial business. The company is currently headed up by the second generation of the Rossetti family, brothers Diego, Luca and Dario who, thanks to their passion and hard work, have steered Fratelli Rossetti to its 60th anniversary, always in the pursuit of quality. The history of the company has resulted in the brand becoming known the world over as being synonymous with style: a shining example of the highest standards of craftsmanship.

Altalen was launched in 2012 by Antonina Nafì De Luca, a set designer, and Elena Todros, a fashion editor, who discovered that they shared an unbridled passion for all kinds of headgear. Fascinators, turbans, visors; a mix of creations, some more extravagant than others, but all totally unique. Altalen sees a hat as a moving art object in which different creative art forms, from painting to photography to video art, communicate with one another.

The Consortium for the protection of Franciacorta wine guarantees and monitors compliance with the rules for producing Franciacorta wine, the first Italian wine produced exclusively using the method of secondary fermentation in the bottle to have obtained, in 1995, Controlled and Guaranteed Designation of Origin appellation. The work of the Consortium comprises a number of different activities: from protecting the brand and the territory to ensuring the best possible product through a continuous activity of regulation of the production procedures and regulations; from providing information to consumers to promoting Franciacorta wine as the expression of a territory, a wine and a method of production. Set up on 5 March 1990, the Consortium has its headquarters in Erbusco, in the heart of the Franciacorta area. The Consortium looks after 113 wineries and is presided over by Vittorio Moretti.
