Fratelli Rossetti presents
“Shades of earth, shades of summer”

Milano Moda Donna, 19 September 2024 – During Milan Fashion Week, Fratelli Rossetti launched the spring-summer 2025 collection: “Shades of earth, shades of summer”, celebrating the warm colors of the earth and summer through its products.
The presentation will be held in the Fratelli Rossetti showroom in the heart of Milan, where it will be possible to immerse yourself in a space that recalls different color shades inspired by the tones of the collection.
The atmosphere will be enhanced by the inclusion of a giant tassel, the unmistakable signature of Fratelli Rossetti’s Brera loafer, customized by South African artist Cara Judd.

The designer, whose works involve experimentation with materials, techniques and processes related to different areas, wanted to give her personal interpretation of one of the brand’s iconic elements.
The Brera loafer will be offered with two new kinds of processing: “tech weave” and “lettuce leaf edging”.

The first is a stylistic and technological evolution that celebrates the combination of traditional craftsmanship and creative experimentation; the weave is created using leather strips, sewn in a zig-zag pattern with different colored threads on a mesh support, creating a three-dimensional effect. The iconic Brera model is joined by the slipper, ballerina flat and baby sandal. The dominant colors recall those of the earth, almond, olive, must and mango.

The “lettuce leaf edging” features a serpentine effect; the thread is finely pulled to create an elegant wave-like movement, lending a unique and refined dynamism. Here the Brera will be featured in two variants:
suede and leather, the former in suede in pastel shades; the latter in leather in white, black, almond and water lily colors.

Fratelli Rossetti, over the course of its 70-year history, has promoted small and large revolutions in the fashion world. Today, it continues its mission, combining a long tradition of craftsmanship with extensive research into innovation, while preserving the brand’s distinctive elegance. Thanks to its ability to combine contemporary design and manual techniques, Fratelli Rossetti is an international ambassador for Made in Italy and Italian style.

Cara Judd graduated in Product Design from the IED in Milan, where she currently teaches. She began her career as an apprentice with artisans and went on to work with several companies. In 2016, together with Davide Gramatica she founded the CARA/DAVIDE studio with which they self-produce sculptural objects, focusing on research and perception of materials.
